TSXCUSB485C is a versatile programming cable for serial communication and RS485 signal conversion via a USB interface. It upgrades the TSXPCX3030 cable, offering enhanced features and broader compatibility with Schneider Electric’s Modicon TSX series PLCs and HMIs.
USB-Powered:
-
- The TSXCUSB485C cable draws its operating power directly from the USB port, eliminating the need for a power supply from the PLC’s TER port. This makes it more convenient and compatible with a broader range of devices.
Compatibility:
-
- PLC Models: The cable is compatible with a variety of Schneider Electric PLCs, including Premium, Micro, Nano, Naza, and Twido series.
- HMI and Other Devices: Different adapter cables can also connect to OTB, XBTN/R/S, TSXSCA62, and similar devices for communication with a computer.
Dual-Port Communication:
-
- The cable supports communication with both the TER (terminal) and AUX (auxiliary) ports of the PLC or HMI, making it highly versatile for different setups and configurations.
Mode Selection Switch:
-
- The conversion box of the TSXCUSB485C is equipped with a toggle switch to select different operating modes. This switch allows the cable to adapt to various communication requirements without relying on PLC-controlled RS485 send/receive enable signals.
- Automatic Flow Control: The cable uses automatic flow control for data transmission and reception, which simplifies multi-point and point-to-point communication applications.
USB multi-function Schneider PLC programming cable
(with TSXCRJMD25 adapter cable).
This is the replacement of the Schneider TSXCRJMD25 + TSXCUSB485C Minidin8-RJ45-USB Cable.
PMC (Mode Control) Signal:
- The TER port of Schneider TSX series PLCs includes a PMC (Mode Control) signal pin that determines the operating mode of the terminal port:
- High Level (PMC = High): The TER port operates in Uni-Telway Master mode, which is required for PLC programming.
- Low Level (PMC = Low): The operating mode of the TER port is determined by the PLC configuration, typically functioning as a slave in this mode.
This TSXCRJMD25 cable is a Minidin8 to RJ45 cable, combined with a TSXCUSB485 Converter, used to communicate with Micro Premium Twido PLC:
Applications:
- PLC Programming: The cable is essential for programming Schneider Electric’s TSX series PLCs, particularly when connecting a computer to the PLC for code upload/download and monitoring.
- HMI Communication: Allows seamless communication between a computer and Schneider Electric HMIs for configuration and data exchange.
- Multi-Point Communication: Supports complex communication setups involving multiple devices, thanks to its automatic flow control and mode selection capabilities.
